The Director of HBIS Serbia, Song Sihai, presented awards, freshly printed calendars, and gifts to the winners of the 2025 Children's Safety Calendar drawing competition at a ceremony held at the factory. This popular event, which the company has traditionally organized for years for the children and grandchildren of employees, highlights the fundamental principle of work in the factory: safety at work comes first.
HBIS Serbia once again demonstrated the importance of fostering a tradition of togetherness, care for safety, and the joy of our youngest family members. This year Children’s Safety Calendar for 2025, as a symbol of the company’s values, has been made even more special by the creative drawings of the children.
The competition, which brought together nearly 100 children, showed the strength of their imagination and how attentively they listen to stories from their parents, grandparents, and guardians about the importance of safety in the factory. Their talents were translated into 12 winning drawings that will adorn the pages of the company calendar, reminding us each month of our responsibility to our colleagues, our families, and ourselves.
The winners were awarded vouchers worth 12,000 dinars, and their joy was further enhanced by visiting the factory and meeting the company’s director, Mr. Song Sihai, who congratulated everyone on their effort and creativity. He emphasized that activities like these are an opportunity for children to understand the importance of workplace safety in a fun and creative way.
"Your works are not just drawings; they are powerful messages of responsibility, care, and attentiveness – messages that will decorate our annual calendar for 2025. Every time we look at its pages, we will be reminded that workplace safety is not only the duty of our employees but also a responsibility toward our families and the community. Thank you for reminding your parents, through your artwork, how important it is to work safely and return home securely. My gratitude also goes to your parents for supporting you and instilling these values. We look forward to more meetings, ideas, and drawings next year," said Director Song Sihai.
Director Song reminded attendees that HBIS Serbia has been successfully managing the steel plant for eight and a half years, continuing to invest in improving working conditions, environmental protection, and raising the company’s operations to a higher level, with constant care for employees and their families.
Out of 103 submitted applications, 86 children aged 6 to 14 participated in the competition and the jury selected the 12 best works that will adorn the new calendar. HBIS Serbia annually rewards the children whose drawings are part of the company calendar, and this year’s winners.
