Director of HBIS GROUP Serbia Song Sihai attended the celebration of the Day of Technology and Metallurgy Faculty (TMF) in Belgrade.


On this occasion, on behalf of the company, he awarded scholarships for students of this faculty who attended a professional practice program organized for students of the final years of studies at the steel plant.


The initiative originated primarily from the need of HBIS GROUP Serbia for educated and professional personnel of the metallurgical profession. With this aim, this type of cooperation with TMF began.


During addressing the students, Song Sihai said that TMF gives a huge contribution to the development of metallurgy in Serbia and the development of the entire country. "I have witnessed this since 2016, because engineers and technologists from your faculty helped to make huge and fast progress in the Smederevo factory, where we achieved this year a historical production results. Through investments, we want to contribute to the development of the economy and the protection of environment, and I hope that these 7 students will have the opportunity and desire to work in our factory. For such young and prospective students, our door will always be open. I hope that this cooperation with TMF will further develop in the future, "said Song.


Jelena Dragovic Trebjesanin, GM of Human Resources and Labor Relations said that HBIS GROUP Serbia sees the source of young and promising engineers in the Faculty of Technology and Metallurgy, and the mutual benefit is that these engineers have the opportunity to get acquainted with their future jobs in the steel plant during the studies, and be prepared for the activities for which they went to school immediately after completing the studies.


The scholarships were received by: Melanija Stojanovic, Bojan Kovacevic, Stefan Selenic, Andjela Milosevic, Jovana Mancic, Sinisa Vasic and Marija Neskovic.
